European Accessibility Act (EAA)

The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a directive adopted by the European Union to improve the accessibility of key products and services across member states, particularly for people with disabilities. Its goal is to harmonize accessibility requirements across the EU and reduce barriers within the internal market.

It required EU Member States to create accessibility laws based on WCAG 2.1 AA Principles in 2022.

Covered products and services must be accessible by June 28, 2025.
