LAKEWOOD, OH – Onix announced the addition of PDF Export functionality to its Equidox by Onix™ software. The enhanced functionality was developed for professionals who struggled to convert PDFs into accessible versions.
“While our Equidox software efficiently converts PDFs into WCAG 2.0 AA-compliant HTML, our clients continued to struggle with the difficult task of making PDFs accessible to people with cognitive and visual impairments,” said Tim Needles, CEO and President of Onix. “With our latest enhancement, Equidox saves users a considerable amount of time by eliminating common struggles and frustrations associated with converting PDF-to-accessible-PDF files.”
With the PDF Export feature in Equidox, users save time with:
- Easy-to-use smart detection tools for publishing PDF tag trees.
- Functionality that allows for reordering of content.
- Ability to make changes – even after remediation begins.
- Faster remediation and conversion time.
Onix created Equidox three years ago as an automated solution to convert PDF documents into HTML that conforms to the WCAG 2.0 AA standard. Since its initial launch, Equidox has helped transform PDF-to-HTML converted documents for hundreds of customers including Northern Virginia Community College, Tennessee State University and Chattanooga State University.
Experts from Onix will be demonstrating the new PDF Export functionality – and all of the Equidox capabilities at the 32nd CSUN Assistive Technology Conference at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego on Feb. 27 through March 4. Visitors are invited to stop by booth #315 to see firsthand how Equidox is helping to make technology more accessible to those with cognitive and visual impairments.
